We try not to pat ourselves on the back too much, but every once in a while, it’s nice to acknowledge some recognition. Recently, Park Place One Apartments was recognized as the 25th highest ranked property for online reputation and customer satisfaction by Multifamily Executive and J. Turner Research, the leading magazine and journal of the multifamily industry. The process took 54,000 properties across the United States into consideration. Additionally, throughout the entire state of Pennsylvania, Park Place One Apartments was ranked 3rd.
Suffice it to say, the award was an unexpected surprise to management, and thus has generated a great deal of excitement with our staff and residents, alike, in each of our apartment communities. Most of all, we’re excited because this award recognizes the excellence of our employees and the value we place on customer satisfaction.
This award represents the culmination of hard work, dedication and performance of each and every team member throughout the year, and their understanding of our business philosophy that the best advertisement is a satisfied customer. It also confirms that little things matter to the customer, and reinforces our belief that customer satisfaction is built by a focus on prompt courteous service, the appearance of the property with respect to clean hallways, well maintained lawns and landscaping, in combination with a quality product. It is not enough to profess that one cares, but to show that care and understanding in the performance by each team member to promptly fulfill each and every request generated by each of our customers.
We are thrilled to be recipients of an award that is based on so many individual customer feedback and comments over the vast, nearly endless content and review sites that allow customers to make comments regarding their rental experience. We take nothing for granted, and will continue to work hard and hopefully not only appear as a named top 25 award winner in the future, but to earn an even higher ranking.
J. Turner Research, much like the better known J. D. Powers which ranks automobiles, is an independent highly respected research company, and their involvement grants credibility to the process of choosing the properties with the best reputation, ensuring everything was carefully researched, exhaustive, fair, and impartial.
There are a growing number of web sites that track a landlord’s reputation or customer satisfaction. The lack of standardization prompted Multifamily Executive to hire J. Turner Research to set criteria and aggregate the vast trove of content with regards to reputation and customer satisfaction on the internet. The results of that study were the top 100 best buildings for reputation and customer satisfaction in each state and throughout the entire United States.
In the performance of their task, and to arrive at the aggregated score, J Turner tracked and analyzed the online reputation of more than 54,000 apartment properties across multiple ratings websites on a monthly basis. To overcome the challenge of multiple ratings scales, J Turner devised a statistical model that established a single score for each property representative of the aggregates of ratings websites. This score serves as a benchmark to compare various properties nationally. The listing for the top 50 such buildings was published in the January 2015 magazine.
